Welcome!

I am glad you chose to visit! My blog is a compilation of the many hats I find myself wearing. On any given day I may be an encourager, an instructor, or just a lady who is venting. You, dear reader, will probably identify with my triumphs and my tribulations! These snapshots fit into my Life Scrapbook I have named A. McInnis Artworks. I hope you will find something worth your while.

Welcome To My Thoughts: Original Blog Entry

This blog has been a long time coming. I love to write, to think and to hear what others have to say. I enjoy sharing my art and getting honest reaction to it. So this is the perfect vehicle for those pursuits.

By profession, I am a teacher, but there has always been another "me" deep inside that has not had the opportunity to emerge. My sixtieth birthday had a profound effect on me as did losing my mother several years earlier. I woke up one day and realized that if I was going to accomplish certain things in my life, I had better start and start quickly.

I hope you will join me in this journey. I would like this blog to be helpful and full of encouragement to those of you who join. If you have ideas for me, please, feel free to express them! Thanks for reading my ramblings.

Angela, I am glad to see you get a blog. I have been on blogger since 05 and now have three blogs. I enjoy your writing and I have heard you are an excellent Bible teacher.

I forgot to mention that my first blog was named after my beautiful cat Jazzy. Right now I am concentrating on my True Free Grace blog where I write devotionals.

Well, thank you jazzycat! I will have to check out your True Free Grace blog. I haven't mastered this blog thing and my attempts are certainly not the best, but I'll keep trying. Thanks for commenting and reading.

Angela, dear Angela, your blog is wonderful! I am amazed at all of your talents! I love your thoughts and memories. Yes, I know that dear friend Beth, who is still the best cook in Grenada! When I think of your always smiling face and bubbly personality, I still see you stepping in that hole in the yard as some of you came over for bridge; you suddenly were much shorter than your usual short self! Y'all came into my home laughing your heads off! Remember? Charlene

I do remember, Charlene! What a time we had! You are kind to comment...makes me a little nervous..you, the English teacher...I tend to be very free with my commas..as you have seen!Love you lots. Keep up with me here. I'm trying to get the hang of it.

Oh, Angela, IF you had any comma error or anything else, I did not notice; I hate to tell people I'm an English teacher because they immediately freeze and feel uncomfortable. Shoot, I use just as informat English as anyone else. We just know when we shouldn't use it! As Emily Dickinson believed, "What's the importance of a comma's placement when one says something important!"

Angela!!
The first thing I saw was the picture of your parents and I cried!! Seems like yesterday we were having church in that old building downtown, then in the Masonic Temple, then finally, our beautiful new building. I am so thankful that you and your family were such a huge part of my childhood memories! I love the art!!
