Baby Oh Baby!! Bootees Tutorial

I have a cute little baby shower item I'd like to share with you. A friend from church used these at another friend's shower and I had tucked the little thing in a drawer and forgotten about her until the other night when I was digging for the sucker sticks for the cakeballs...will that ever go away?!

Anyhoo, this is a mint or nut holder and it's so easy and cute in a display.

Can you tell how it's made?

Gather the following: Two little ketchup cups (like those from a fast food restaurant); 1 cotton ball; one kleenex tissue and several inches of satin ribbon.

Lay the tissue on a flat surface; center one ketchup cup and place the cottonball on one side of the cup. The cottonball forms the toe of the bootee. Now pull the tissue up over the cup and cottonball and press down into the cup.

Nestle the second cup inside the first and tie a little bow around the top cup. Fill with nuts or mints and place as many as you need on a pretty tray for presentation!

Simple and pretty. White tissue or any color ribbon could be used.
BTW: That's my grandmother's plate underneath!
I linked to Polly Want A Crafter's party and Beverly's Pink Saturday....

Hope all your real bootees are filled with chubby little feet,
